Thường was a piece of clothing that covered the lower half of the body, similar to a skirt. This skirt was made by sewing two pieces of fabric into a circle and wrapping it around the body, sometimes worn with separate white trousers underneath. The upper body garment was called Y, and the full outfit was known as Y Thường in ancient times.
