FAQs for 2025 Lunar New Year

1. What is the ordering deadline for delivery before the 2025 Lunar New Year?

For the best chance your order will arrive by January 29th, please place your order by the following dates:

  • Economy / Ground: January 16th
  • Priority Mail: January 17th
  • Priority Mail Express: January 21st
  • Pick up: January 25th

These deadlines help us accommodate the high demand and ensure timely processing and shipping.

2. How long will it take to process my order during the Lunar New Year season?

Due to the significantly increased volume of orders around the Lunar New Year, processing times may be longer than usual. Please allow 3-5 business days for your order to be processed before it ships (do not include weekends or public holidays). The estimated delivery window will be displayed at checkout. We appreciate your patience as we work to get your ao dai to you as quickly as possible.

3. How quickly can I expect a response to my inquiries during the Lunar New Year period?

During the Lunar New Year season, our response times might be slower due to the high volume of inquiries. We strive to respond to all questions within 1-2 business days (do not include weekends or public holidays). Inquiries that have been addressed via this FAQ or the automated response will not receive further correspondence as we focus on shipping out orders. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

4. Why isn't my tracking updated yet?

Tracking information may take up to 24-48 hours on business days to update once your order has been shipped. During busy periods like the Lunar New Year, carriers may experience delays in updating the tracking information. Please allow some time for the system to update.

5. Can you guarantee delivery times?

While we strive to ensure your order arrives in time for special occasions, we cannot guarantee exact delivery times due to variables that are outside our control, such as carrier delays, especially during this high-volume period. We recommend placing your orders by the advised deadline and checking the estimated delivery window at checkout for the best approximation of when your ao dai will arrive.

6. Can I cancel my order?

We are unable to cancel orders once they have been placed. We encourage you to review your order carefully before submitting it.

7. Can I make changes to my order?

We strive to process orders as quickly as possible, which means we cannot guarantee changes can be made once an order is placed (e.g., changing sizes, styles, addresses, combining packages).

If you need to make changes, please contact our customer service team immediately after placing your order at info@aodaibycutesass.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, changes are not guaranteed.

8. How can I quickly exchange an item at your showroom?

To ensure a swift exchange process at our showroom, please follow these steps, adhering to all return terms outlined in our policy:

  1. Initiate Your Return: Start by selecting "Return in Store" on our Returns Policy page. Follow the instructions to prepare your item according to our return terms. The return address will be sent to your email after you initiate your return.

  2. Place a New Order: Order the new item online, choosing "Pick Up" and ensuring the order is at least of equal value to the return. This guarantees your desired size or item is reserved due to high demand. If your new purchase is less than your return, you will receive a full store credit, no partial refunds.

  3. Visit the Showroom: Once notified that your order is ready, promptly visit the showroom to drop off your return and pick up your new purchase.

  4. Processing the Return: We'll process your return within 5-10 business days and issue a refund as per our policy. 

    Please note: We cannot guarantee an exchange on the spot if you do not place a new order, as our operations are at peak capacity and stock demands are high during this time. 

9. I am between sizes, what should I do?

If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up and altering down if needed.

4. What should I wear under the Áo Dài?

For the best look under your Áo Dài, we recommend:

  • Women: Nude, seamless undergarments to maintain the silhouette.
  • Men: A thin, neutral-colored shirt, paired with slacks and dress shoes.

5. How can I try on an Áo Dài before purchasing?

We offer in-person showroom appointments in Placentia, CA. This allows you to feel the fabric and fit before making a decision. Book your appointment online at https://aodaibycutesass.com/collections/bookings. The exact address will be provided after you book the appointment.

6. What should I bring to my appointment?

For the best look under your Áo Dài, we recommend:

  • Women: Nude, seamless undergarments to maintain the silhouette.
  • Men: A thin, neutral-colored shirt, paired with slacks and dress shoes.

Feel free to bring any accessories you plan to wear with the outfit to see the complete look.

7. I have general questions; can I chat with someone?

8. What is the best way to contact you for specific order inquiries?

For general questions, please use our 24/7 chat support or refer to the links and descriptions provided on our pages. For specific order inquiries only, please email us at info@aodaibycutesass.com to avoid delays in processing orders.

9. Where can I place an order?

The best way to order an Áo Dài is directly through our website at aodaibycutesass.comThis ensures you have access to the widest range of inventory and sizes available.

We are also available on Etsy and Amazon Prime.

10. If I need an item by a certain date, how far in advance should I order?

To ensure your Áo Dài arrives on time, please place your order at least 10-14 days in advance if you are located in the US. If you plan to exchange the item, add at least 2 additional weeks. Note that while we do our best to meet these timelines, exact delivery dates cannot be guaranteed as packages are handled by the carrier. Please add an additional 3-4 weeks if you are located outside the US.

11. Can I bring my pet to the showroom when I come to try on an Áo Dài?

We love pets, but for the comfort and safety of all our guests, pets are not allowed in the showroom.

12. Is your showroom open on the weekends?

Our showroom is currently not open on weekends. Please visit us during our regular business hours Monday through Friday via appointments.

13. Can I pay for a pre-order with a gift card?

Gift card is not a supported payment method for pre-orders.

Shipping and Returns

14. How long does it take to receive my order?

Ready-to-wear items are typically shipped within 3-5 business days. Pre-order items are shipped within 3-4 weeks, unless otherwise noted, under pre-ordering terms. Tracking details will be provided once your order has been shipped.

The estimated delivery time is determined by the carrier, based on your location and the mail class you selected at checkout. You also have the option to select a faster mailing class if you need your order sooner.

15. Are shipping and customs fees included for orders to Canada and Australia?

Shipping and custom fees to Canada and Australia are not included. Customers are responsible for shipping and any custom fees incurred.

16. What is your return policy?
